FORVIA Names Martin Fischer as Next CEO

FORVIA has announced that Patrick Koller will step down as CEO on March 1, 2025, following a decision made at its Board of Directors meeting on December 2. He will be succeeded by Martin Fischer, a seasoned executive and former Management Board member of the ZF Group.

To ensure a smooth leadership transition, Fischer will assume the role of Deputy CEO on December 6, 2024, before officially taking over as CEO. Koller will remain on the Board of Directors until the end of his mandate at FORVIA’s Annual General Meeting on May 28, 2025, when the Board will recommend Fischer’s appointment as a Board Member.

Fischer, 54, brings more than 25 years of experience in the global automotive industry, holding leadership roles across Europe and the United States. He is recognized for driving operational performance, implementing technology-driven growth strategies, and fostering strong corporate cultures. His career began at Siemens VDO in 1998, followed by leadership positions at HELLA, BorgWarner, and most recently, ZF Group, where he oversaw significant growth across several business divisions and regions.

Michel de Rosen, Chairman of the Board, highlighted Koller’s achievements during his tenure, noting his pivotal role in transforming Faurecia into FORVIA, a global technology leader with over 150,000 employees and €27 billion in annual turnover. De Rosen praised Koller for steering the company through strategic challenges, expanding its footprint in Asia, and championing sustainable technologies. He expressed gratitude for Koller’s leadership and welcomed Fischer, emphasizing his strategic and operational expertise as assets for FORVIA’s continued growth.

Koller reflected on his time as CEO, acknowledging the support of the Board and the dedication of FORVIA’s teams. He emphasized the company’s transformation into a market leader and its strong position in sustainable technology. He pledged to support Fischer during the transition to ensure a seamless handover.

Fischer expressed his honor in joining FORVIA, commending its commitment to innovation and sustainability. He looked forward to leading the company, driving strategic initiatives, and contributing to its success, while also expressing gratitude to Koller for his guidance during the transition period.
