Nimlas Group Announces Christoffer Järkeborn as New CEO

Effective January 1, 2025, Christoffer Järkeborn, currently Deputy CEO of Nimlas Group and CEO of Sandbäckens, will assume the role of CEO of Nimlas Group. He will continue the company’s strategy of driving profitable growth with the aim of establishing Nimlas as a leading force in the Nordic installation industry. Meanwhile, Mikael Matts, the current CEO, will transition to a position on the Board of Directors.
Nimlas Group, a major player in the Nordic technical installation and service sector, employs over 4,500 people across 130 locations in Sweden, Finland, and Norway. Since 2021, the company has grown from generating $140 million in revenue to operating over 130 entrepreneurially driven companies across the region. This year, Nimlas is projected to achieve $770 million in pro forma revenue, maintaining steady profitability.
Johan Karlström, Chairman of Nimlas Group, highlighted the company’s robust foundation, built on governance, reporting, and operational excellence. He stated that Järkeborn’s leadership would usher in a new chapter for the group. Since joining in 2022, Järkeborn has played a pivotal role in enhancing team dynamics and improving business outcomes. Karlström noted that Järkeborn’s leadership would focus on advancing Nimlas toward its goal of becoming the most profitable and sustainable installation group in the Nordics.
Järkeborn expressed enthusiasm for his new role, emphasizing his commitment to driving the company’s growth and operational efficiency. He outlined plans to prioritize profitability and enhance the group’s operational capacity.
Fredrik Brynildsen of KLAR Partners, the majority owner of Nimlas Group, remarked that Järkeborn’s leadership would accelerate progress toward the group’s revenue and EBITA targets, solidifying its position as a Nordic industry leader. He also acknowledged the significant contributions of Mikael Matts, whose leadership facilitated the group’s expansion from $140 million in revenue to its current scale.
Matts reflected on his tenure as CEO, attributing the company’s growth to the dedication and expertise of its teams across Sweden, Finland, and Norway. He expressed eagerness to continue supporting Nimlas in his new role on the Board, underscoring the privilege of leading the company through a period of rapid expansion and foundational development.
