Iain Armitage Tops the List of Richest Child Actors with $6 Million Fortune
In the entertainment world, it’s increasingly common for young talents to achieve global fame and amass significant wealth at an early age. Among them, Iain Armitage, best known for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper in Young Sheldon, has emerged as the wealthiest child actor, surpassing peers like Modern Family star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons and Canadian actor Jacob Tremblay. Both Anderson-Emmons and Tremblay have net worths of approximately $2 million, while Armitage, at just 16 years old, boasts a fortune of $6 million.
Armitage, the son of British actor Euan Morton and American theatre producer Lee Armitage, began his journey in the spotlight with a YouTube series titled Iain Loves Theatre. At the age of six, he gained attention for reviewing musical theatre performances, which eventually opened doors to acting opportunities. His early roles included an appearance in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode Chasing Theo, where he played a kidnapped child. He also gained recognition for his role as Ziggy Chapman in Big Little Lies and appeared in films such as I’m Not Here and Our Souls at Night.
Armitage’s major breakthrough came in 2017 when he was cast as the young Sheldon Cooper in Young Sheldon, a spin-off prequel to the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Over the next seven years, he portrayed the character originally made famous by Jim Parsons. Initially earning $30,000 per episode, Armitage’s salary climbed significantly by the fifth season, reaching $1.1 million per season. This financial success made him a millionaire by the age of 13.
Beyond acting in television and films, Armitage has showcased his versatility as a voice actor. He lent his voice to young Shaggy Rogers in the animated film Scoob! and voiced Chase in PAW Patrol: The Movie. His diverse body of work continues to solidify his position as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
