Stillfront Replaces Founder and CEO Jörgen Larsson

Stillfront has parted ways with its founder and CEO, Jörgen Larsson, as the company embarks on a search for new leadership. In the interim, Alexis Bonte, the former president of publishing and business acceleration, has been appointed as acting CEO while the board of directors initiates the recruitment process for a permanent replacement.

Chairperson Katarina Bonde explained that while the company’s financial position remains robust, the board has determined that new leadership is necessary for future growth. She emphasized that efficiency measures implemented so far have successfully supported profitability and strong cash flow. However, she acknowledged that significant work remains to improve Stillfront’s growth trajectory and realize the cost savings associated with the newly announced management structure, which divides operations into three business areas.

Bonde noted that this marks a new phase in the company’s evolution, and for these changes to be fully realized, a fresh approach to leadership is essential.

Larsson, reflecting on his departure, expressed pride in the progress Stillfront has made and its current market position. He affirmed his belief in the company’s strategy and stated that he will continue to follow its progress closely as a significant shareholder.

Stillfront indicated that the leadership change was driven by its recent restructuring, announced in September 2024, which aimed to enhance organic growth, improve profitability, and increase transparency. The new structure, which organizes the company’s operations into three key business areas, is designed to sharpen focus on core franchises and address underperforming games.

The company also shared that it expects the optimization activities to be fully implemented by the fourth quarter of 2025. These changes are projected to yield annual cost savings of 200 to 250 million SEK compared to costs in the second quarter of 2024.
