Siemens Energy Extends CEO Christian Bruch’s Contract Through 2030

At its meeting on September 25, the Supervisory Board of Siemens Energy AG extended the contract of CEO Christian Bruch by an additional five years, now set to run through April 2030. His original contract was due to expire in April 2025.

Siemens Energy AG, formed from the spin-off of Siemens’ former Gas and Power Division, is a leading energy technology company. It develops and installs multi-megawatt wind turbines, gas turbines, steam turbines, gas engines, and complete energy systems. The company serves industries including renewables, power and heat generation, oil & gas, marine, data centers, and more.

During Bruch’s initial tenure as CEO, he successfully navigated Siemens Energy through a challenging period. Joe Kaeser, chairman of the Supervisory Board, highlighted Bruch’s leadership in overseeing the spin-off of Siemens Energy, managing the geopolitical instability in Central Europe, and handling the acquisition and subsequent restructuring of the wind business.

Kaeser praised Bruch and his team for their efforts to revitalize the conventional energy business and address the critical issues in the wind division. The planned return of the wind business to break-even by 2026, he noted, would mark the completion of one of Siemens’ most significant restructuring efforts.

The Supervisory Board expressed its enthusiasm for continuing to support Bruch’s leadership as Siemens Energy advances in the global electrification era.

Following the contract extension announcement, Bruch expressed gratitude to the Supervisory Board for their continued trust. He reaffirmed his commitment to increasing the company’s profitability and value, emphasizing that his focus remains on driving profitable growth, restructuring the wind business, and further strengthening Siemens Energy’s financial position.
