Stange Law Firm’s Kirk Stange Has Cracked the Code for Success in Family Law
Attorney Kirk Stange, founding partner and president of Stange Law Firm, has become a highly-respected leader in the field of family law for his focus on growth and client-first approach to business. As a result of his growth-driven mindset, he has nine offices in his home state of Missouri, along with sixteen offices in other states such as Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Indiana, and Iowa.
Iowa is the most recent target of Stange Law Firm’s expansion, with offices opening in Des Moines earlier this year and the newest location opening in Cedar Rapids. Today, Stange Law Firm presently employs 54 attorneys, with plans to add more, who practice law in areas such as divorce, family law, child custody, paternity, estate planning, and alternative dispute resolution.
The foundation for Stange’s success as the mastermind behind Stange Law Firm dates back to his early days as a family law attorney working for firms such as Quinn, Ground, & Banton LLP and Siegel Sevastianos, LLP. At one firm he worked at, he got his first taste of divorce and family law when one of the firm’s partners was on medical leave. Although he initially planned to focus on constitutional law and civil rights while studying at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, he soon became known for his knowledge in divorce and family law, and eventually, he decided to practice family law exclusively and started his own practice devoted to these areas.
In 2007, Stange founded Stange Law Firm in Clayton, Missouri. He soon began developing a reputation in St. Louis County and surrounding areas for his high-level work on legal matters such as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, adoption and paternity, and couples seeking a divorce. While word of Stange’s work traveled quickly, he realized that to truly grow the firm to its current size, he needed to adapt to the changing times with an aggressive, proactive online marketing strategy.
As a result, Stange began using cutting-edge marketing strategies such as social media marketing, SEO (search engine optimization), and pay-per-click advertising to increase the firm’s online presence and find people looking for the exact services he offered. He also began looking toward content creation to improve brand awareness.
He is the host of Family Law Talk, a podcast distributed through BlogTalkRadio, as well as the author of several books, including Prenuptial Agreements Line by Line. Stange’s success has also been driven by his client-friendly, online-centered policies, such as offering 24/7 access to clients and providing a secure online space known as “Your Case Tracker,” where clients can access all of their documents digitally.
When he isn’t doing award-winning legal work with Stange Law Firm or overseeing the firm’s expansion across seven states, with plans for more growth, Kirk Stange shares the leadership lessons he has learned from building a multi-state law firm as a speaker for organizations such as the Missouri Bar, the National Business Institute, and Strafford Publications. He has also spoken at events such as the 8th Circuit Judicial Conference, where he was on the same list of speakers as U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr.
