Letsile Tebogo: Botswana’s Youngest Millionaire After Olympic Triumph

Letsile Tebogo’s meteoric rise in the world of athletics has not only earned him a place in the history books but also an impressive array of rewards that now make him arguably the youngest and richest person in Botswana. The 21-year-old sprinter made history at the Paris Olympics by becoming the first African and Botswanan to win a major sprint event, securing the 200m title with a new African Record of 19.46 seconds. He finished ahead of notable competitors Kenny Bednarek and Noah Lyles, who clocked 19.62 seconds and 19.70 seconds, respectively.

Tebogo’s achievements didn’t stop there. He also played a pivotal role in Botswana’s 4x400m relay team, which earned a silver medal, setting another African Record, with Team USA taking the gold in a new Olympic Record time.

Following his outstanding performance in Paris, Tebogo returned home to a hero’s welcome, with over 30,000 fans celebrating his achievements. His success has been rewarded with a multitude of gifts, including substantial monetary awards, houses, diamonds, and even pregnant cattle.
