Iceotope CEO David Craig Announces Retirement; Transition Leadership Team Named
Iceotope, a global leader in Precision Liquid Cooling, has announced that CEO David Craig will retire effective September 30, 2024. Chief Commercial Officer Nathan Blom and Chief Financial Officer Simon Jesenko will jointly lead the company until a new CEO is appointed. David Craig will continue to advise and support the company during the transition period.
Nathan Blom, with a background in driving revenue and strategy for Fortune 500 companies like Lenovo and HP, and Simon Jesenko, a finance executive experienced in supporting private equity and venture capital-backed companies, will ensure continuity and stability during the leadership transition.
Reflecting on his tenure, David Craig remarked on the incredible journey and the achievements made, including building a strong team and creating an innovative IP portfolio. He expressed pride in the team, company, and products and conveyed his decision to retire as a step towards focusing on personal passions, particularly his charitable work in the UK and Africa.
David Craig, who joined Iceotope in June 2015, has been pivotal in transforming the company into a globally recognized leader in Precision Liquid Cooling. Under his leadership, Iceotope has developed practical liquid cooling solutions addressing challenges in AI, distributed telco edge, high-power dense computing, and sustainable data center operations.
George Shaw, Chairman of Iceotope, thanked David Craig for his dedication and enthusiasm, acknowledging his significant contributions to the company. Shaw expressed confidence that Craig will continue to be an excellent ambassador for Precision Liquid Cooling and extended best wishes for his retirement.
Iceotope’s technology is vital in addressing global data center sustainability issues, capable of removing nearly 100% of heat generated, reducing energy use by up to 40%, and cutting water consumption by up to 100%. This technology has attracted investors such as ABC Impact, British Patient Capital, Northern Gritstone, nVent, and SDCL.
