Dua Lipa’s Phenomenal Year: Around $1.3 Million Weekly Earnings and Expanding Empire
Dua Lipa saw an impressive financial year, amassing approximately %1.3 million per week in 2023 due to merchandise sales and her successful Future Nostalgia tour. Financial records up to March 2023 revealed that the 28-year-old artist’s company, Radical 22 Live LLP, achieved a staggering turnover of $66.5 million.
In May, Lipa was ranked 29th on the Sunday Times Rich List with a net worth of almost $116 million, placing her among the UK’s wealthiest celebrities, alongside the likes of Adele, Harry Styles, and Ed Sheeran.
Lipa manages nine private firms and is set for another lucrative year with the release of her third album, “Radical Optimism,” in May. The album has already produced three Top Ten hits—”Houdini,” “Training Season,” and “Illusion”—which she performed during her headline act at Glastonbury. Following this success, she announced two sold-out Wembley Stadium shows for June 20 and 21.
She has also graced major festivals including NOS Alive in Portugal, Open’er in Poland, and Mad Cool in Spain. The British star, currently dating actor Callum Turner, plans to continue her tour in November and December with dates across Asia before returning to the UK.
Last year, it was reported that Lipa is on track to become the wealthiest British female pop star following her departure from management company TaP in 2022. Taking control of her publishing catalog, she established Radical 22 Publishing Limited with her father, Dukagjin “Dugi” Lipa, mirroring Taylor Swift’s strategy to re-record her masters. This move positions Lipa to potentially become a billionaire by age 40.
Lipa’s production company, Radical 22 Live, reported an operating profit of around $28 million for the year ending March 31, 2023, up from $11.5 million. This marks the first full financial period the business has filed with Companies House, despite delays that nearly led to its removal from the register.
Turnover for the company rose significantly from approximately $31.5 million to $66.4 million. Performance fees and promotional support accounted for almost $60 million, up from $29 million. While merchandise income dropped from $1.4 million to $957,13, other revenue streams surged from $930,95 to $5.5 million.
