Martin Egvang Succeeds Niels Josefsen as CEO of Lauritzen Bulkers
Copenhagen-based shipowner and operator Lauritzen Bulkers has announced Martin Egvang, the founder and CEO of Integrity Bulk, as its new Chief Executive Officer. Egvang will assume his new role on September 1, 2024, succeeding Niels Josefsen, who announced his retirement in April to focus on personal interests and spend time with family and friends. Josefsen will remain in his position until Egvang’s transition is complete.
Before founding Integrity Bulk, Egvang gained extensive experience in dry bulk and management roles at Clipper, Armada Bulk, and A.P. Moller-Maersk. Morch noted that Egvang’s comprehensive knowledge of dry bulk shipping, along with his alignment with Lauritzen’s values and ethics, instills confidence as he takes on the company’s leadership.
Kristian Morch, Chairman of Lauritzen Bulkers, expressed gratitude for Josefsen’s willingness to facilitate the leadership transition, extending best wishes for his future endeavors. Lauritzen, specializing in the handysize bulk segment, chose Egvang due to his nearly decade-long experience leading a company in the same field.
