LVMH Announces Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou as the New CEO for Fendi Amid Executive Reshuffle
LVMH is undergoing significant changes in its executive leadership. In an internal announcement on Monday, the French luxury conglomerate revealed that Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou will become the new CEO of Fendi starting June 1. Angeloglou, who currently serves as managing director of the LVMH Fashion Group, will maintain this position alongside his new role at Fendi. He replaces Serge Brunschwig, who will be taking on new duties within LVMH.
Before his current roles, Angeloglou spent nearly five years at Louis Vuitton, most recently as executive vice president of strategic missions from 2022. His extensive career also includes 23 years at L’Oréal. The announcement included a note from Bernard Arnault, LVMH’s chairman and CEO, expressing gratitude for Brunschwig’s contributions to Fendi’s growth since 2018.
This leadership change is part of broader shifts within the LVMH Fashion Group, which includes brands like Celine, Fendi, and Loewe. Michael Burke was appointed chairman and CEO of the Fashion Group on February 1, succeeding Sidney Toledano. In March, Angeloglou was named Managing Director of the Fashion Group, overseeing several brands, including Fendi, Kenzo, Marc Jacobs, Pucci, Stella McCartney, Patou, and Off-White. Although there have been reports suggesting Toledano’s return to the Fashion Group, LVMH denies any changes in the group’s leadership.
There are still key positions to be filled within the group, such as the creative director for Givenchy following Matthew Williams’ departure. Fendi ranks as LVMH’s fourth-largest fashion brand, following Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Celine. In 2023, Celine surpassed Fendi in revenue, generating approximately $2.8 billion compared to Fendi’s estimated $2.65 billion.
