SageView Advisory Group Enhances Leadership Team with New CFO and CGO
SageView Advisory Group has made strategic appointments in its leadership team, welcoming a new Chief Financial Officer and introducing a Chief Growth Officer role as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its retirement plan advisement and wealth management business.
Christina Walsh steps into the role of CFO, succeeding Tony Nottermann, while Steve Gaven assumes the newly created position of Chief Growth Officer. Both Walsh and Gaven will report directly to CEO John Longley, who has been steering SageView for over six months, succeeding founder Randy Long, who remains the firm’s chairman.
Christina Walsh brings extensive experience, having served as a principal with SageView’s private equity backer, Aquiline Capital Partners, and as a member of SageView’s board. Her background in growth transactions and expansion strategies for wealth management firms positions her well for her new role.
Steve Gaven, with his experience as Chief Financial Officer at RWA Wealth, formerly Adviser Investments, brings valuable expertise in driving both organic and inorganic growth. He played a pivotal role in doubling the firm’s assets under management through strategic acquisitions and expanding its service offerings.
Looking ahead, Longley highlighted SageView’s commitment to strategic expansion, including geographic expansion in retirement plan advisement and attracting top talent in wealth management to complement the firm’s institutional retirement advisers.
With more than 30 offices nationwide, SageView is at the forefront of RIAs integrating wealth management divisions to enhance services for individual savers, further solidifying its position as a leader in retirement plan advisement and wealth management.
