Faiq Bolkiah, renowned as the world’s wealthiest footballer with an estimated staggering wealth exceeding $20 billion as the nephew of the Sultan of Brunei, has been hospitalized after sustaining a leg injury during a Thai Premier League match.
The 25-year-old football sensation, who has previously showcased his talent across Europe with stints at Maritimo (Portugal), Leicester City (England), Southampton (England), and Chelsea (England), is currently plying his trade for Thai club Ratchaburi.
Bolkiah endured the unfortunate injury while making a halftime appearance as a substitute during Ratchaburi’s match against Police Tero at Boonyachinda Stadium. Tanawat Nitikanchana, chairman of Ratchaburi, expressed profound sadness over Bolkiah’s condition.
