Tanner Winterhof: Making Farming Business Content Relevant

So, how did the podcast come about? A decade ago, Winterhof was working at a bank and would host lunch meetings for customers, bringing in speakers to talk to them and give them some value to help their business do better.

He liked the idea so much that when he formed his own company, he had conferences which brought in farming, agricultural, and business experts to share expertise and ideas.

“It started as a business prospecting tool and then we started getting more traction as the in-person meetings grew to more than 350, almost 400 people in attendance,” said Winterhof in a recent interview. “Then I switched to writing a newsletter and realized that newsletters weren’t very engaging. I’d always love listening to podcasts and I went, ‘Duh. Why don’t I just record the interview and put that out, rather than having to type out their answers to all the questions?’ So it spawned off of all of that.”

And the Spotify stats show just how popular “Farm4Profit Podcast” has become.

Not only are more people tuning in from all over the world, they’re listening more and staying longer. And Spotify is just one of the many places people can tune in to the podcast, which is also available on Apple, YouTube, Google Podcasts, SimpleCast, on RSS Feed, and anywhere quality podcasts can be found.
