Fulton Financial Corporation Announces Leadership Changes

Fulton Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: FULT) has announced leadership changes, with Betsy Chivinski assuming the role of interim Chief Financial Officer following the resignation of Mark McCollom on February 8, 2024. Concurrently, Atul Malhotra has been promoted to Chief Risk Officer, succeeding Chivinski in that position. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Chivinski, formerly serving as Chief Risk Officer, will now hold the position of Senior Executive Vice President and interim CFO, reporting directly to Chairman and CEO Curt Myers. She will oversee the corporation’s financial governance until a permanent CFO is appointed.

Chivinski has held various leadership roles within Fulton Financial Corporation, including chief audit executive and chief accounting officer, before assuming the role of chief risk officer in 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Franklin & Marshall College.

Myers expressed confidence in Chivinski’s capabilities, citing her extensive experience in the financial services industry and her tenure at Fulton spanning nearly 30 years. He emphasized her strong accounting background and leadership skills as assets during the transition period.

In his new role as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, Malhotra will report directly to Myers and be responsible for overseeing the bank’s risk management programs.

Malhotra brings over 20 years of experience in corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory strategy to his new position. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Computer Science from Franklin & Marshall College and has earned several certifications in risk management. Additionally, he is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Myers commended Malhotra’s expertise in risk management and his contributions to Fulton, expressing confidence in his ability to maintain and enhance the organization’s risk management framework.
