Mark Zuckerberg Claims the Title of the Fourth Wealthiest Individual in the World
In a significant financial milestone, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has ascended to the position of the fourth richest person globally, overtaking Bill Gates. This achievement follows a remarkable 22% surge in Meta’s stock price, contributing to a substantial increase of over $28 billion in Zuckerberg’s wealth.
Zuckerberg’s net worth is estimated to have reached an astonishing $170 billion. This places Zuckerberg behind only Bernard Arnault, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos in the global wealth rankings.
Notably, Zuckerberg is poised to receive approximately $174 million in cash when Meta distributes its inaugural dividend in March. With ownership of approximately 350 million Class A and B shares, all eligible for the dividend, Zuckerberg’s annual earnings could exceed $690 million if Meta maintains its 50-cent quarterly dividend.
Beyond financial achievements, Zuckerberg recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of Facebook through his WhatsApp Channels. In a symbolic gesture, he shared a video depicting him blowing out candles on cakes shaped like the number 20. Additionally, he took to Instagram to share a montage chronicling the transformative journey of Facebook since its inception as a college-level social media platform. This dual celebration underscores Zuckerberg’s enduring influence not only in the financial realm but also in the evolution of digital communication over the past two decades.
