The 10 Most Dangerous States for Female Pedestrians, 2024

New York City

According to a report conducted by CEOWORLD magazine, data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) between 2017 to 2021 revealed that Alaska, Rhode Island, Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York are the states with the highest risks for female pedestrians. The report focused on the percentage of female pedestrians who were killed in fatal crashes, and Alaska emerged as the state with the highest percentage of female pedestrian fatalities. Out of the 63 total pedestrian deaths recorded, 30 were female, which accounts for 47.62% of the total.
