Jean-François Pruneau is the next CFO of Transat

Transat A.T. Inc. has named Jean-François Pruneau as its Chief Financial Officer, effective from January 9.

Bringing over 25 years of executive experience within major Quebec and Canadian companies, Pruneau served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Starpax Biopharma before joining Transat. His career journey includes roles at Canadian National Railway, BCE Media, and Quebecor, where he rose to Senior Vice President and CFO. He later transitioned to become President and Chief Executive Officer at Videotron. Additionally, he spent almost a decade as a lecturer at HEC Montréal.

Pruneau holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Finance from HEC Montréal and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2000. He was honored with the “Financial Executive of a Large Corporation” award by the Quebec section of Financial Executives International Canada in 2015.

President and CEO Annick Guérard expressed enthusiasm about Pruneau joining the company, highlighting his expertise and successful track record in financial management and strategic financing within prominent corporations.

Guérard emphasized Pruneau’s significance in the company’s transformation, citing his business acumen and extensive experience as valuable assets. Pruneau also conveyed his excitement about contributing his executive knowledge to Transat’s growth and future success.
