Apollo Intelligence Names Susan Young as its new CFO
Susan J. Young has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Apollo Intelligence, a healthcare and life science insights firm.
Young joins Apollo from PlayOn! Sports, a KKR-backed insight investor’s portfolio company, where she served as CFO, contributing to the establishment of the finance organization, financial reporting, and M&A endeavors. Previously, she held CFO positions at Q2 Solutions (now part of IQVIA), Terra Dotta, MarVista Entertainment, and Explorica. Her career path includes roles at Kodak, Xerox, and Stryker, spanning across life sciences, biotech, medical devices, and SaaS software industries. She possesses international experience, having managed teams and entities in various countries such as the UK, Canada, Mexico, China, Singapore, and India. An enthusiastic traveler who has explored all seven continents and all 50 US states, Young holds an MBA from Syracuse University and a BS in finance from Clarkson University.
CEO and President Dan Fitzgerald expressed confidence in Young’s appointment, highlighting her extensive experience in driving enterprise growth through meticulous fiscal management. He praised her alignment with Apollo’s culture, emphasizing her financial operational expertise, which aligns with the firm’s goals of innovation, refined business operations, and enhanced service delivery for their clients and the broader life science industry.
Apollo Intelligence was established in 2020 following the acquisition by investment firm Saroras Private Capital, which owned sector-specific researcher InCrowd, of data collection company SurveyHealthcareGlobus. Both entities form part of Apollo, now a portfolio company of Frazier Healthcare Partners, boasting a workforce of over 250 individuals. The firm extends services to clients with access to 2 million healthcare stakeholders globally.
