Tyman Welcomes Rutger Helbing as its new CEO
Tyman revealed the appointment of Rutger Helbing as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from January 2, 2024.
Hailing from the Netherlands, Helbing served as the CEO of Devro from January 2018 until April 2023, initially joining as the group finance director in 2016. His earlier career comprised finance roles within commercial divisions of renowned global manufacturing corporations such as Unilever, ICI, and AkzoNobel.
During the transition, interim CEO Jason Ashton is set to resume his position as chief financial officer. Additionally, Juliette Lowes, who has been serving as interim CFO since April 21, 2023, will return to her role as the group financial controller.
Nicky Hartery, the non-executive chair, expressed enthusiasm about Rutger’s appointment, highlighting his extensive international manufacturing expertise, strategic prowess, and successful track record in fostering Devro’s growth and delivering substantial value for its stakeholders. Hartery emphasized the value of Helbing’s swift integration into Tyman’s operations as he joins the group in January.
