Zurich Global Ventures Names Cara Morton as its new Group CEO

The Cover-More Group is set to enlist a new Group CEO following Cara Morton’s appointment as Chief of Zurich Global Ventures, effective February.

Ms. Morton, currently based in Sydney, will retain her position as the CEO of Zurich’s Cover-More travel division until her successor at Cover-More is chosen. Upon assuming her new role, she will relocate to Zurich and directly report to Mario Greco, Zurich’s Group CEO, while also becoming a member of the Zurich Group Executive Committee.

Jack Howell, who played a crucial role in the acquisition of Cover-More in 2017 and has been leading Zurich Global Ventures since 2021, will be returning to the US from Switzerland to spend time with his family.

Ms. Morton’s journey within Cover-More began when she was appointed as the COO in 2018, eventually assuming the role of Group CEO in 2020. Her previous position was as the Group Head of Operations at QBE.

“As the pandemic played out globally, Cara led Cover-More through an intense period of strategic and digital transformation to ensure we were prepared for the day the world could travel again. Today, the business is stronger than ever, with more than 17 million customers,” stated Cover-More.
