Female Leadership in CarGurus with Elisa Palazzo in the role of CFO

CarGurus (Nasdaq: CARG), a leading digital automotive platform, has announced the appointment of Elisa Palazzo as its Chief Financial Officer, effective from December 4, 2023. Reporting directly to CarGurus Chief Executive Officer Jason Trevisan, Palazzo will take charge of financial operations and strategy to support the company’s objective of creating a robust transaction-enabled destination that caters to the complete lifecycle of vehicle transactions.

Jason Trevisan, CEO of CarGurus, expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment. Elisa Palazzo also shared her excitement about joining CarGurus, saying, “I am thrilled to join a market leader like CarGurus at a pivotal moment in its evolution as the digital automotive space is poised for transformation. Elisa Palazzo comes to CarGurus with nearly two decades of experience in operations, investments, and transactions, particularly in marketplaces catering to both consumers and business-to-business users. She currently holds the position of Deputy CFO and Senior Vice President of Finance at Talkspace, a two-sided marketplace offering online behavioral health services. In this role, she leads financial planning and analysis, accounting, and investor relations. She assumed the position of Deputy CFO in April 2023, initially joining as Senior Vice President of Finance in 2021 as part of Hudson Executive Capital’s engagement with Talkspace. Before her role as Deputy CFO at Talkspace, she served as Managing Director at Hudson Executive Capital, where she oversaw investments in consumer, online, and digital media companies.

Earlier in her career, she held senior roles in technology investments at various asset management institutions and worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse. Palazzo holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Master of Science in Corporate Finance from Bocconi University.
