Who is the new CFO of Albemarle Corporation?
Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB), a supplier of materials for the fields of mobility, energy, connectivity, and health, has announced the appointment of Neal Sheorey as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective as of November 6, 2023. Concurrently, Scott Tozier, Albemarle’s current Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will transition from his current role to serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO.
Kent Masters, the CEO of Albemarle, commended Scott Tozier’s contributions. Scott Tozier originally joined Albemarle in 2011 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Neal Sheorey joins Albemarle from Dow, a global materials science company, where he held various finance, business, and corporate leadership positions over a span of more than 20 years. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Dow’s Coatings & Performance Monomers business unit, a global portfolio with sales exceeding $4 billion. In this role, he was responsible for shaping the group’s strategy, profitability, and growth initiatives. Before that, Sheorey served as Dow’s Vice President of Investor Relations, Senior Director of Corporate Development, and Global Finance Director for the Chemicals business group.
Sheorey holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance and corporate strategy from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University.
