David’s Bridal Announces Changes in the Leadership Team

Three months after the struggling bridal retailer David’s Bridal was successfully rescued from bankruptcy by Cion Investment Corporation, it has announced several promotions within its key leadership team.

Kelly Cook, who previously held the position of EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, will now take on an expanded role as President of Brand, Technology, and Finance. She will report directly to Jim Marcum, the CEO. In her new capacity, Cook will oversee the marketing, technology, and finance departments. As the company’s President of Merchandising and Supply Chain, Nancy Viall will also report to Marcum. She will maintain responsibility for product development and merchandising, and additionally, she will oversee the management of the supply chain, including distribution centers.

Bob Walker, who was appointed Chief Retail Officer in 2019, will now serve as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, reporting directly to Marcum. In this role, he will continue to oversee store operations and the field sales team while placing a strong emphasis on enhancing the customer experience and utilizing the contact center to further enhance field customer care and sales. Additionally, he will now be responsible for managing both loss prevention and real estate.

Rob Cooper, who has been with David’s Bridal since 2006 and has worked in the financial planning and analysis department, has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will report directly to Kelly Cook and become a part of the senior leadership team. Cooper will be responsible for managing the finance team, succeeding Charles Lockyer, the former CFO.

Andrea Dauphinee, who joined David’s Bridal in 2018 as Senior Vice President of Human Resources, will continue in her role and work directly with Jim Marcum. She will maintain oversight of the company’s human resources department.

Jim Marcum, the CEO, expressed his confidence in the leadership team, emphasizing the pivotal role they play in ensuring the organization meets the needs of its customers during one of the most important moments in their lives.
