Michael Fraser Leaves Chaarat Gold to Join Gold Fields as CEO and Executive Director
Gold Fields has announced the appointment of Michael Fraser as Chief Executive and Executive Director, effective from January 1st.
The South African mining firm disclosed on Monday that Michael Fraser is joining the company after his recent tenure as CEO at Chaarat Gold, a fellow mining company, where he served for nearly two years. Prior to his role at Chaarat Gold, Mr. Fraser held the position of Chief Operating Officer at a global division of South32, an Australia-based mining corporation, and also served as an executive at BHP.
It’s worth noting that Chaarat Gold had earlier issued a statement announcing Michael Fraser’s resignation from his position as CEO.
Michael Fraser will be taking over from the interim CEO, Martin Preece, who will continue in his role until December 31st and will remain a part of the company’s executive management.
