Yves Bernaert is the new CEO of Atos

During its meeting on October 3rd, 2023, the Board of Directors of Atos, following the recommendations of the Nominations and Governance Committee, appointed Yves Bernaert as the Chief Executive Officer of the Atos Group. This appointment is effective immediately, and his nomination as a Director of the Board of Directors will be proposed at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

With the successful completion of Atos’ internal operational separation into two distinct entities in July 2023, the Group is now poised to advance its transformation plan.

The selection of Yves Bernaert as Atos’ CEO reflects the Board of Directors’ choice of a leader with a proven track record in the technology and digital transformation sectors. His primary mission will be to oversee the next phases of the Group’s transformation plan and accelerate the revitalization of its operations. If the finalization of the Group’s separation is approved by the Board, he will assume sole responsibility for leading the development of the new entity, Eviden Group. This entity will be the sole French player with global reach, offering a comprehensive range of digital transformation solutions, including digital services, cloud solutions, AI, cybersecurity, and high-performance computing.

Furthermore, Yves Bernaert, in collaboration with Paul Saleh, the Group CFO, will manage the ongoing exclusive negotiations with EPEI under the Board’s supervision, with the intention of presenting the proposed transaction and contemplated capital increases to the Shareholders’ meeting.

Yves Bernaert, aged 55, embarked on his career as an auditor at PwC before joining Accenture in 1992. At Accenture, a global leader in digital services, he held various executive positions in France and internationally. Over the past nine years, he served as CEO Europe of Accenture Technology. Under his leadership, Accenture Technology Europe achieved double-digit growth, focusing on emerging digital technologies such as Cloud, Data & AI, and Security.

Yves Bernaert is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of 1001 Fontaines, a French NGO dedicated to providing sustainable access to drinking water for vulnerable populations. The NGO aims to expand its model and reach 2 million beneficiaries by 2025.
