Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD) made an announcement regarding the resignation of Wayde McMillan from his position as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer. His departure is effective from October 20, 2023. Mr. McMillan is set to assume the role of Chief Financial Officer at 3M’s Health Care business, which 3M intends to spin off into a standalone entity.

In the interim, Lauren Budden, Group Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Controller, will take on the additional responsibilities of Interim CFO and Treasurer until a permanent replacement is appointed. Ms. Budden joined Insulet in April 2019 and possesses over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. Insulet has initiated a search process to identify its next CFO.

Insulet Corporation, headquartered in Massachusetts, is an innovative medical device company dedicated to simplifying the lives of individuals with diabetes and other conditions through its Omnipod product platform.

Lauren Budden has been serving as Group Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Controller at Insulet since March 2022. She initially joined Insulet in 2019 as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Controller. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Jim Hollingshead, President and Chief Executive Officer, expressed gratitude for Wayde’s contributions, describing him as a trusted partner and leader who helped advance the company’s mission of improving the lives of people with diabetes. Hollingshead praised McMillan for strengthening the company and positioning it for long-term growth opportunities. McMillan himself shared his pride in the company’s accomplishments and expressed confidence in its continued success.

Hollingshead added that Lauren Budden, the Interim CFO, is highly regarded within the company and possesses extensive knowledge of its financials and global operations, making her well-equipped to support the execution of strategic priorities.
