Bernard McCracken is the new CFO of Lands’ End
Lands’ End, the popular American lifestyle brand, has announced the appointment of Bernard McCracken as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, a position he had previously held in an interim capacity. In addition to serving as interim CFO since January 2023, McCracken has also been the Chief Accounting Officer at Lands’ End since April 2014.
The decision followed a rigorous search process, as stated by Josephine Linden, the company’s Chair, who expressed confidence in McCracken’s suitability for the role. Linden remarked, “With nearly a decade of contributions to Lands’ End, Bernie’s understanding of the business and leadership in the development of our go-forward strategy will be critical as we continue our focus on driving long-term value for Lands’ End shareholders and other stakeholders.”
Regarding his new role, McCracken commented, “Lands’ End is an iconic American lifestyle brand with a proud history and exciting opportunities ahead. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Andrew [McLean, CEO] and the rest of the management team and board to build on our strong momentum and further strengthen our financial position.”
During his tenure at Lands’ End, McCracken’s responsibilities included overseeing financial reporting, corporate finance, treasury, and tax, among other functions, in addition to leading investor relations activities. Before joining Lands’ End, McCracken held various finance and audit positions at notable companies such as The Children’s Place, Footstar, Deloitte & Touche, The Leslie Fay Companies, and Loehmann’s.
