Nokian Tyres names Niko Haavisto as the new CFO
Mr. Niko Haavisto has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of Nokian Tyres and will also join the company’s Management team. He will assume the role on October 1, 2023, and will report directly to President & CEO Jukka Moisio. In the interim, Jari Huuhtanen, VP of Group Business Control, will continue serving as SVP of Finance and Treasury until the end of February 2024.
“Niko has a strong strategy, financial, and M&A background in private equity and industrial companies as CFO, CEO, and Board member. His expertise will be in key role during the coming years when we expand our production capacity globally as part of our strategy’s investment phase and while the company grows toward the 2-billion-euro revenue. We are pleased that we also have Jari in a strong position in our finance organization, ensuring a strong and professional introduction for Niko to Nokian Tyres,” stated Jukka Moisio, President & CEO of Nokian Tyres.
Niko Haavisto brings with him a wealth of experience from various international corporate financial positions, with his most recent role being at CapMan Plc.
Nokian Tyres specializes in the development and manufacturing of premium tires, catering to individuals who prioritize safety, sustainability, and reliability. In 2022, their segment’s net sales amounted to EUR 1,350 million, and by the end of 2022, they employed approximately 3,300 professionals.
