The Calgary Airport Authority Has a new President and CEO

Andrea Robertson, the Chair of the Board of The Calgary Airport Authority, announced that Chris Dinsdale has officially taken on the position of President & CEO of The Calgary Airport Authority (YYC).

Following an extensive global search, Chris Dinsdale emerged as the ideal strategic leader to guide YYC through its upcoming phase of expansion. His extensive experience, enthusiasm, and proven track record in the airport industry, combined with his commitment to developing efficient operations, played a significant role in his selection. Moreover, his dedication to offering a distinctive and high-quality passenger experience, as well as his expertise in forming strategic partnerships with airlines, will support YYC’s continued progress into the future. The Board is confident that Chris will enhance YYC’s success in delivering the exceptional and memorable experiences that guests have come to associate with YYC while also providing strong leadership to the organization.

Hailing from Canada, Chris Dinsdale brings his wealth of experience from his almost eight-year tenure at Budapest Airport, where he most recently served as CEO.

Under Chris’ adept leadership, Budapest Airport recently earned a prestigious accolade from the Airport International Council, with passengers voting it the “2022 Best Airport in Europe (15m – 25m PAX).” During his tenure as CEO, Budapest Airport also secured the “Best Airport in Eastern Europe” award at the 2022 Skytrax World Airport Awards, as well as the “Cargo Hub of the Year” award at the esteemed Air Cargo News Awards in 2022. Beyond his industry achievements, Chris has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement and sustainability, setting an ambitious target for Budapest Airport to achieve net-zero emissions by 2035.
