What If the Disease is Wise?

To start talking about health and illness, we have to understand what that is. We define health in one way, but the body does not necessarily do the same thing. The body decides to create a condition in which it will work in the best way possible. To start clarifying things, we have to talk about each level of human existence. Both western and eastern cultures, as we know them so far, have accepted that we are a combination of our minds, souls, and bodies. The orders in which we mention these parts are not accidental. The mentality is supposed to be at the core of our existence. Consider ourselves as a sphere where at the center we have the brain, on the outer layer we have the soul, and finally, there is the body. The organism will do its best to protect the core and will care less about whether the other layers are protected. The sequence of importance is the one described above. This is the order in which we will try to protect ourselves. In other words, we will prefer to get our bodies sick instead of having a psychological issue. This is why we say that most physical problems are related to our psychology.
Things become more interesting when we examine how the body itself works. The body has a similar way of thinking. Each organ in the body is not equally important. For example, the role of the heart is more vital than the role of the skin. If the heart has a problem, this could threaten human life, and this is what nature cares about. The principle behind this prioritization is survival and reproduction. These are the only two things all animals understand. So where is all this going?
One thing we have to realize to understand ourselves, become wiser, and be able to heal ourselves is what the body is trying to achieve. Most of the diseases we deal with are happening to protect us from something which is more threatening and that we are simply not aware of. For instance, cancer is the body’s reaction to acidity in the patient’s blood. The body creates cancer cells that are being fed by this acidity. The reason this is happening is that if the PH in the blood falls below a particular level and the blood becomes too acidic, this will lead to immediate death. To protect ourselves from this reaction, the body produces cells that will ”absorb” this acidity and make the environment more friendly for the body. So what the body practically does is that it gives us some time to lower the acidity of the blood before sentencing us to the death penalty. What appears to be a disease is actually a cure. The reason we believe this is a disease is that we are unaware of the deeper and more crucial problem that we already have.
A similar example can be found in skin problems. The skin usually reflects the condition of the body inside. In fact, the type of skin problems we have and the part of the body on which these problems appear can give us a piece of information about what is going on inside. The skin is like a map. If we know what this map shows, we can use that as a wonderful tool to solve problems that are far more important than the condition of the skin. The skin is the least important organ of the human body and its whole existence. An illness on the skin is very unlikely to threaten human life, and the tendency of a body to reject all of the toxins on the skin actually depicts a very wise system. On the other hand, having clear skin does not mean that we are healthy. It is in very few cases that clean skin equals a healthy body. Most of the time, it means that the body has not figured out that the skin is a safe place to remove a part of the toxins.
The bottom line is that the body is a very clever mechanism and that, in most cases, it does things in an optimal way that we find hard to understand. Let it do the job, and it will do the best for you.
