Truth Coaching with Randy Howell Jr. Has the Power to Heal
While mental health awareness is on the rise, it seems as though mental health diagnoses are as well. There are millions of Americans living with anxiety and depression, from children to adults, and everyone likely knows at least one person who meets that statistic.
The truly harrowing realization is that a number of those individuals aren’t seeking the healing or the help they need. Fear and unhappiness have become their new normal and they aren’t trying to uncover why they might feel the way they do or what triggered their health issues.
Life coach Randy G. Howell Jr. believes that at the heart of healing lies truth, and he has dedicated his life to helping people uncover theirs, earning himself the more aptly-named title of Truth Coach.
What is Truth Coaching?
Howell Jr. is a certified Life Coach, but the jump to Truth Coach isn’t all that far. The only significant difference is that you aren’t just bettering your life, you are figuring out what in your life led you to where you are so that you can make a real, lasting difference, not just apply a band aid that will eventually fall off and leave you back where you were.
Truth coaching is essentially life coaching on a deeper level. A Truth Coach supports you in maximizing your potential by asking questions, holding space for your thoughts and feelings, and encouraging you to step into your truth.
“Every day we make choices to do or not do many things. These choices may range from profound to trivial and each one has an effect that makes our lives more fulfilling or less fulfilling, more balanced or less balanced, that makes our process of living more effective or less effective,” said Howell.
As a truth coach, Howell Jr. helps his clients learn how to make choices that create an effective, balanced and fulfilling life. He helps them connect their head and their heart in a way that transforms their passions into their dreams and aspirations. It’s all about exploring your story and freeing yourself from the past transgressions that often haunt us. Through this exploration we can then generate a new walk in life.
Truth coaching holds much of the same significance as seeing a therapist or other medical professional. You will build a trusting relationship and have the time you need to work through any limiting situations or roadblocks that are prohibiting you from moving forward.
About Howell Jr.
Life coaches often face a lot of naysayers and have to breathe through an air of negativity, as television and film like to portray them as scam artists or liars, but Howell Jr. is as real as it gets.
Growing up in a strict, religious household, Howell Jr. was held back from a lot, often hearing the word no any time he wanted to experience something potentially great that life had to offer.
“We are conditioned to worry about everything around us, and often forget to take care of ourselves,” said Howell. And this certainly applies to his upbringing. He wasn’t mistreated or lacking in love, but the fear that his parents held—in what could go wrong or the road he could find himself on—bled into his own life and, as an adult, he realized that his conditioning led to him not really taking care of himself or his family in a way that he should have been.
All the questions and what-could-have-been were haunting him and negatively impacting his family. He had to look within himself and try to understand why his parents raised him the way they did and why he was making the decisions he was making. Howell Jr. had to stand in his own truth, and this changed the trajectory of his life and the life of his family. Instead of inadvertently causing suffering because of his childhood traumas, he started to give them opportunities to excel as a family.
“I truly believe the world can be healed one person at a time, creating a domino effect because positivity breeds positivity,” said Howell.
This is a truth that he doesn’t merely spout for clients without believing himself, it’s a testament that he lived and experienced on his own. He healed and then healed his family, and while the struggles others face might look different than his own, he has the background and the skillset to help them uncover their own truths and find their way to happiness and fulfillment.
