An Exclusive Interview with Israeli Model Anne Zivi

The Israeli influencer with 283k Instagram followers has not only made a name for herself as a model and influencer, but also as a TV host and owner of a fashionable new online jewelry company called Fantasy Jewelry which has been supported by many celebrities.

Her business endeavor comes with an understanding of modern trends – including the online diamond market. Reports indicate that the global diamond mining industry will have a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of almost 5% between 2020 and 2024. Anne knows that the world is changing, and in order to stay ahead, business owners need to change with it. The pandemic has had an interesting effect on the online diamond market – instead of spending money on expensive holidays, many consumers are investing in diamonds. They are also doing so from the comfort of their own homes and so the online diamond market is seeing a new influx of potential profit.

The “Israel Bidur” and Channel 13 host has also been a presenter of 69Slam, Sloggi, and twenty six as well as participating in two seasons of the Amazing Race Israel with her partner Yarden. The experience has remained with her to such an extent that she and Yarden plan on creating a travel show once lockdown restrictions are lifted and international travel is a possibility again.

What inspired you to get into modelling?

“As someone who isn’t tall and doesn’t have the type of body that many people expect from models, it was important to me to prove that even if you don’t have these attributes you can still be a model. I love what modeling has offered me; it has allowed me the opportunity to work with many fashion designers and brands which are wonderful, and my favorite is definitely 69Slam Israel. I also got to be a part of a campaign for chocolate yogurt named YOLO and it’s my favorite photoshoot ever. It was a lot of fun, and it stands out as being a unique experience.”

How do you promote body positivity and what do you do for self-care and self-confidence?

“I take classes for acting on camera, and I take care of my body by eating healthy and exercising. I also share my daily routine on my Instagram story in order to encourage other people to do the same. I look to others for inspiration, as well, and I especially like Hailey Bieber and the Kardashians. They are powerful women who have made a name for themselves in the industry. What I try to do every day is also what I would tell any aspiring model to do – have a healthy daily life routine, self-confidence, and keep exercising on a daily basis. The world can be cruel, and cyberbullying is a big problem, so it’s most important that everyone knows that they have value as they are so that they don’t fall prey to online trolls. As an influencer, it is something that I know can be difficult and it is my aim to use my platform to combat this cruelty.”

What has your experience been like as an influencer? What have the pros and cons been?

“I like that I can promote my own beliefs and values in society, however, this is a 24/7 job and you have to be available all the time and be prepared for being on camera. It’s a lot of pressure so I make sure that I keep my mind as healthy as my body.”

What do you get up to when you’re not modelling?

“I have my own online jewelry store, and I host shows in “Israel Bidur.” As part of my jewelry store, I sell high quality silver 925 jewelries that many famous people and influencers wear. I have also just graduated from IDC and received my Master’s in Communication, and I work in online marketing.”

What was your experience like on the Amazing Race Israel?

“In the Amazing Race we traveled all over the world and saw many beautiful places; the experience was very empowering. We had the chance to meet great new people that I am still friends with, and I got to experience how the television industry works and see what “behind the scenes” is really like.”

What would you advise someone to do in Israel if they’re travelling for the first time?

“First of all, it’s a good idea to go to Jerusalem and to see all of the historical places which are composed of elements of three major religions. Tel Aviv is another place worth visiting for its nightlife, beach, and the food which I find very tasty.”

Where have you travelled to and what has been your favourite destination so far?

“I have traveled all over the world, including ski and summer vacations, but my favorite place was Costa Rica. It feels like a true vacation and the beaches are amazing.”

After being positively impacted by their experience on the Amazing Race Israel, the model and her partner on the show, Yarden, will be starting their own international travel TV series once lockdown restrictions are eased around the world. They plan to visit many places and give recommendations for an active nightlife, good food, and unique cultural experiences. Furthermore, despite how the pandemic has halted the travel show’s release, there is still a lot that she’s excited about and she looks forward to introducing new projects to her fans.
