Family Friendly Beach Vacations In The United States

People perceive family vacations differently. Some may want to go somewhere quiet and tranquil to spend quality time with their family. Others may want to have fun and entertainment which eludes them in urban life. Our list has options for both kinds.

A family vacation needs to be kid-friendly. You may have chosen to wing it many times in your teenage years or early 20s. But you need to be responsible for a family vacation.

You may have saved money earlier in your bachelor days by booking shady places. You cannot do that on family vacations. Adequately large and respectable vacation rentals are a must in your holiday destination.

This is our list of the best family beach vacations in the US:

  1. Cannon Beach, Oregon
The wind blows at an ideal speed to make it a great place to fly kites. Its highlight attraction is Haystack Rock. It is a 235-foot tall rock on the beach near the downtown area.
The wide and flat beach is big enough to let kids go tide pooling or to ride three-wheelers. You should try building sandcastles. You should try sweets at Bruce’s Candy Kitchen. You should watch them being made before enjoying them. National Geographic has listed this marvelous beach as “one of the world’s 100 most beautiful places.”
  2. St. Augustine

St. Augustine was founded by Spaniards in 1565. It is nicknamed as the Ancient City. All of its main attraction are believed to be haunted by the ghosts of Spanish settlers. This makes the nighttime ghost tours fun.
St. Augustine Beach has plenty of space for you and your family to play. Your furry friends will love it. Kids can have a blast at the splash park at the pier. You can go beach biking or paddle sin the saltwater lagoon of the Anastasia State Park nearby.
  3. Seaside, Florida

You may lounge at the beach or try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding. You should enroll your kids at the surf school. You have many options for dining, but make sure you try the lip-smacking grilled cheese at food trucks at Airstream Row.
  4. Corolla, North Carolina
Corolla is located along the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Currituck Beach near Corolla the quietest beach vacation in this list. This is the best destination to spend a peaceful time with your family.
You can properly explore the Outer Banks on your bike. The Currituck Beach Light is no ordinary lighthouse,  it has a place in the National Register of Historic Places. Those who seek an adrenaline rush can do all sorts of water sports at Kitty Hawk Kayaks & Surf School.

You should enroll your family to learn about marine conservation. Take a ferry to Cayo Costa State Park. While the kids enjoy themselves in the playground, you may want to experience the scenic sunsets.
  6. Long Beach, Washington
