Why Now is the Best Time to Get an Online MBA

MBAs in general have been getting a lot of flak over the last few years, but you’d have a hard time finding someone who downgrades them now. People are now realizing how fragile the supply chain can be, and those who don’t have the proper set of fundamentals are having a real hard time adapting.

We can confidently say that the stock of MBAs is set to rise over the next decade, and they will go back to playing a central role. Online MBAs have been growing in popularity too, and current conditions could mean that we could see a boom in enrolment. They can be a great investment, whether you were thinking of getting a position, or fine-tuning your business skills. Here are a few reasons why now is the best time to get an online MBA.

No Need to Relocate

Moving around could continue to be difficult, and getting your MBA online means that you won’t have to leave your current state, city, or country. This also means that you will not be limited to the choice in your locality, and will be able to choose from a lot more institutions. This means that you have more chances to be accepted, and will be able to attend the school of your dreams even if you’re at the other side of the globe.

Online MBAs are Adaptive

Online MBAs are great for any business owner who wants to get a formal business education and those who want to further their education. Those already working can fit their program around their schedule, and study at their own pace. Asynchronous classes allow you to follow lectures on your own time wherever you are.

While some classes are synchronous, meaning that you’ll have to attend at set times, they also have their fair share of benefits. For instance, being able to interact with teaching staff in real-time is something that really sets the online MBA apart. Doing so in a traditional setting would be nearly impossible in most cases, so that’s a point in favor of online MBAs.

I love that I was able to do my midterms from a small coffee shop in Argentina,” said former online MBA student and business development manager Neil McLellan. He also added that he loved how attentive the staff was. “It’s really the ease, the responsiveness of my teachers, and of my academic advisor,” he added. “They really do a great job at due diligence and really check up on you and your progress.”

Another great thing about online MBAs is how fast you can get your credentials. The University of Redlands MBA, for instance, allows students to get their qualifications in as fast as 18 months depending on their previous education. When you add that with the convenience they offer, this is a prime chance to get a solid formation and respected degree while you maintain your position or run your business.

You’ll Get Some Crucial Soft Skills

But really, one of the biggest benefits of getting an online MBA now is all the precious skills you’ll get that will make you more efficient in the future and in this new climate. Some of these skills include:

  • Lean management methodologies and Six Sigma
  • Supply chain management
  • Project and time management
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving
  • Market evaluation
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills

These are all skills that will allow you to set yourself apart but also allow you to navigate troubled waters with more ease. You’ll become more adaptable and versatile, and will gain essential leadership skills that will allow you to run an organization with confidence; confidence that will rub off on your people. Not only that, but you’ll become a master at using remote collaboration and communication tools, which is a critical skill that will give you a solid advantage over those who can’t.

Affordability

Another point in favor of online MBAs is that they’re generally more affordable than other options. Not only can you stand to make some savings on tuition, but you’ll also be able to save on campus fees, transportation, and lodging. Manuals will also be less expensive, and you won’t have to spend money on all the little expenses that come with campus life.

So, now that you know why getting an online MBA right now could be the best decision you’ve ever made, we strongly suggest you start looking at options and ask other students who went through the same path for their opinions.
