Ranked: The 10 Most (And Least) Positive Countries Across The World, 2019
Afghanistan has been ranked the the least positive country in the world for 2019, according to the recent annual Global State of Emotions report by Gallup. After Afghanistan, the other least positive countries, in order, were Belarus, Yemen, Turkey, Lithuania, Nepal, Northern Cyprus, Bangladesh, Chad, and Egypt.
It’s interesting to note, the study also revealed that the world is sadder, angrier, and more afraid than ever before.
Paraguay has been ranked the the most positive country in the world for 2019. After Paraguay, the other most positive countries, in order, were Panama, Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador, Indonesia, Honduras, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Colombia. Indonesia was the only non-Latin American country in the “highest positive experiences” category.
The survey asked 151,000 people in 143 countries a series of questions about how they’d felt the day before. Were they angry or sad? Did they smile or laugh? Did they learn something new?
