Discover The Most Chilled-out Countries In The World

Bali, Indonesia

Indonesia, the island chain, has been voted the most “chilled out” country in the world, followed by Australia and Iceland, a new study has revealed. Claiming fourth place in the ranking is New Zealand, followed by Sri Lanka in 5th.

In sixth-placed is Cyprus followed by the Philippines (seventh), Greece (eighth), India (ninth) and Mauritius (10th).

To identify the world’s most chilled out countries, researchers at LastMinute analyzed a number of factors including the number of public holidays; noise and light pollution; environmental quality; the number of spa retreats, and the personal rights of citizens.

The study also revealed that Indonesia has over 186 green spaces, 54,700 miles of coastline, and an average temperature of 25 degrees centigrade – making it the perfect place to watch waves.

The top 15 is rounded off by Costa Rica (11th), Portugal (12th), Bulgaria (13th), Croatia (14th) and Spain (15th).
