Ranked: 25 Happiest Cities In The United States, 2018

The happiest city in America is Fremont, California, according to the WalletHub report, with Bismarck (North Dakota), checking in at No. 2 and San Jose (California) finished at No. 3. Pearl City, Hawaii is ranked 4th out of 182 cities on the list.

Plano, Texas, rounded out the top five. The sixth spot went to Fargo (North Dakota) followed by Sioux Falls (South Dakota), Irvine (California), Huntington Beach (California), and Grand Prairie (Texas)

Interesting note from the 2018 list: California had 4 of the top 10 cities and 8 of the top 20 cities.

As for the opposite side of the spectrum, Detroit (Michigan), which finished at the bottom of the heap last year, pulled a repeat again in 2018.

The list is based on factors like emotional and physical well-being, income and even sports participation.
