  1. It Makes You More Alert

We all know that caffeine helps you keep awake and alert and many studies have supported this fact. This is one of the most potent and prevalent stimulants available in many products but is most commonly found in a reasonable amount in coffee. The caffeine in coffee will keep you awake by giving your central nervous system a much needed boost. This will keep it alert and productive during work hours.

It may come to the surprise of many but coffee can help you live a longer and healthier life if had in moderate amounts. The National Institute for Health in the United States found a significant correlation between the risk of dying and the amount of coffee consumed. The studies conducted by the institute concluded that drinking coffee reduces the risk of dying and this was relative to the people who did not consume any coffee during their lifetime.

  1. It Can Help Reduce Pain

In the present times, most working people have a desk job that requires them to sit at a single place for hours together. Staying in the same position for long hours can lead to muscle pain. Many studies have found that drinking coffee can reduce pain development caused by sitting for long hours and this was in comparison to the people who did not have a single cup of coffee. The results also suggested caffeine as a pain moderator.

  1. You Can Socialize More

The coffee vending machine in your office is the new office water cooler. Many coffee drinkers can meet at this spot to interact while brewing a cup of coffee for themselves. This can lead to more social interaction between colleagues and help improve your social circle. When you make more friends at work, you can be more productive and also be a little happier than before.

This has been shown in a study conducted by the Seoul National University that compared how particular genes and proteins react in rat’s brains when an aroma of coffee is exposed to them. This study proved that when exposed to the coffee aroma, the proteins protected the nerve cells from damage caused by stress by showing antioxidant properties. This confirmed that the caffeine is an excellent stimulant that protects us from sleep deprived stress by keeping us alert and this, in turn, keeps us more productive.
