The Top 20 Fortune Companies With Biggest Workforce In The World, 2017

With approximately 2.3 million employees across the globe, Wal-Mart is the world’s number one employer on the Fortune 500 list. Trailing far behind Wal-Mart, China National Petroleum is the number 2 employer on the Fortune 500 list with 1.5 million workers.

China Post Group Corporation is the 3rd biggest employer on the Fortune 500 list with 941,211 employees, followed by State Grid Corporation of China (926,067 employees) and Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology (726,772 employees). The next two biggest employers worldwide are Sinopec and Volkswagen Group.

The U.S. Postal Service is the 8th largest employer, with 400,000 people on its payroll, followed by Compass Group, the UK’s largest food and support services firm, and the Agricultural Bank of China.

Prof. Dr. Amarendra Bhushan Dhiraj is a publishing executive and economist who is the CEO and editor-in-chief of The CEOWORLD magazine, one of the world’s most influential and recognized global news publications.
