Meet The Top 10 Highest Paid U.S. CEOs of 2016

Unsurprisingly, Marc Lore was ranked as number 1 on the list of the highest-paid U.S. executives of 2016, according to Bloomberg Pay Index.  Marc Lore, Jet.com co-founder and now the CEO of Walmart’s e-commerce division, made nearly $237 million and came top.

Apple chief Tim Cook was next up at No. 2 with more than $150 million in compensation last year, ahead of John S. Weinberg, the ex-Goldman Sachs-er who heads investment bankers Evercore Partners ($123.9 million) at No. 3 with and Alphabet/Google boss Sundar Pinchai at No. 4 with $106.5 million.

Meanwhile, Tesla’s Elon Musk, sits at No. 5 with $99.7 million. IBM’s Virginia M. Rometty, the only woman in the top ten, was 6th with $96.7 million.

Also on the list: Mitch Garber ($91 million), Philippe P. Dauman ($87.8 million), Leslie Moonves ($83.6 million) and Mario J. Gabelli ($76 million).
