Here Are How Europe’s Top 26 Best Universities Ranked In 2017
University of Cambridge is No. 4 in the world — No. 1 among European universities, according to a new list released by the Center for World University Rankings 2017. More than 27,000 higher education institutions were evaluated worldwide.
Topping the list globally is Harvard University in the US for the 6th consecutive year. Stanford and MIT rounded out the top three places. All up, 26 European higher education institutions made the global top 100 best universities in the world list.
And the top ranking European university this year is the University of Cambridge, coming in at number 4 globally.
This year, 11 European countries – including Russia – feature in the rankings for 2017 — top 100 best universities in the world.
The UK remains the dominant force in higher education in Europe, claiming 7 universities in the top 100, followed by Switzerland and France (4 institutions each); Germany, Belgium, and Netherlands (2 institutions each); and Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Russia, and Norway (1 university each).
