Simon Paris Named CEO of Unit4, Succeeding Mike Ettling
Unit4, a Netherlands-based cloud software company, has announced the appointment of Simon Paris as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective February 1, 2025. Paris will take over from Mike Ettling, who has led the company for nearly six years, overseeing a period of substantial growth and its evolution into a cloud-first, recurring-revenue business.
Simon Paris brings a wealth of experience to the role, with over 25 years in the technology sector. His career includes leadership positions at Infor and SAP, as well as his most recent tenure as CEO of Finastra, where he transformed the organization into a global fintech leader.
During Ettling’s leadership, Unit4 transitioned to a cloud-first model, achieving significant milestones. Today, 80% of the company’s revenue comes from recurring sources, a testament to its successful strategic shift.
Morgan Seigler, Managing Director at TA Associates, the majority investor in Unit4, highlighted Ettling’s exceptional contributions and expressed confidence in Paris’s ability to guide the company toward further growth and success.
Paris shared his enthusiasm about joining Unit4, stating that he looks forward to leveraging the company’s existing strengths to drive sustainable growth while delivering increased value to customers and partners.
With this leadership transition, Unit4 continues its trajectory as a prominent player in the cloud software industry, poised for further innovation and expansion under Paris’s guidance.
