Citycon Announces New CEO and Leadership Changes
Citycon Oyj’s Board of Directors has made a unanimous decision to appoint Oleg Zaslavsky as the company’s new CEO, with his tenure set to begin by April 2025. Zaslavsky will be stationed in Helsinki, Finland, while F. Scott Ball will remain as the interim CEO until Zaslavsky officially steps into the role.
Zaslavsky is a seasoned executive with over two decades of experience spanning real estate, finance, and business administration. At present, he holds the position of Managing Director and CFO at ATCP Management GmbH, a real estate firm based in Germany that is part of the Aroundtown Group. Before this, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Robyg S.A. and Robyg Construction from 2011 to 2021.
Citycon’s Board also shared news about other leadership transitions. Jussi Vyyryläinen, who is currently the Senior Vice President of Leasing and a member of the Corporate Management Committee, is set to leave the company on May 15, 2025, to pursue new career paths. He will maintain his current role until the end of December 2024, after which he will continue as an advisor to the company until mid-May 2025. In response to this change, the Board has decided to bring Eero Sihvonen, a member of Citycon’s Board of Directors, onto the Corporate Management Committee with immediate effect.
Sihvonen is no stranger to Citycon, having previously served as the company’s CFO from 2005 to 2021. Additionally, Sakari Järvelä, Citycon’s current Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Corporate Management Committee will also be departing the company at the end of December 2024 to explore new opportunities.
