Apple Eyes Greater Expansion in China Amid Strengthened Ties with Local Industry, as Tim Cook Reveals
Apple CEO Tim Cook recently underscored the company’s intention to boost its investments in China and further strengthen its role within the country’s industrial and supply chain networks during a meeting with China’s leading industry regulator.
In talks with Jin Zhuanglong, China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Cook highlighted Apple’s eagerness to take advantage of China’s growing integration into the global market. He stressed that Apple remains committed to increasing its investment in China, aiming to support the nation’s industrial growth and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Jin pointed out that China’s recent initiatives to open up the telecommunications sector have paved the way for increased foreign investment and encouraged Apple to continue its exploration of the Chinese market. He urged the tech giant to place greater emphasis on innovation, deepen collaborations with local firms, and contribute to the nation’s drive for high-quality development.
Jin also assured that China remains focused on promoting digital industrialization and advancing the digitization of its industries, creating a more favorable climate for international businesses. The conversation also touched upon key issues like data security and cloud services, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
