Tony Wesner is the new CEO and Chairman of Rose Acre Farms
Rose Acre Farms, based in Seymour, Indiana, has appointed Tony Wesner as its new Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Wesner, who previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer, succeeds Marcus Rust, who will move into an advisory role as the company’s Chief Visionary Officer.
Rust expressed his confidence in the transition, noting that he was proud to hand over the leadership of the company to Wesner, whom he described as a great leader. Rust highlighted Wesner’s extensive experience, having been part of Rose Acre Farms for over 40 years, and believed that he would continue to guide the company toward a prosperous future.
Wesner, who began his career at Rose Acre Farms in 1981 and became COO in 2011, expressed his gratitude to the Rust family for the trust they placed in him. He reflected on his journey within the company, working alongside multiple generations of the Rust family, and emphasized the importance of Rose Acre Farms’ mission to produce eggs and provide food for families. Wesner looked forward to continuing this “noble pursuit” in his new leadership role.
In his new position, Wesner will not only maintain his long-standing industry relationships but also focus more on shaping the company’s vision and strategy for the future.
Terry Anderson, currently Vice President of Operations and with the company since 1991, will take over as Chief Operating Officer.
