BNP Paribas Names Bruno Boussard as CEO of Taiwan Branches

BNP Paribas has appointed Bruno Boussard as the chief executive officer of its Taiwan branches, effective from 1 October 2024, pending regulatory approval. In his new role, Boussard will oversee BNP Paribas’ operations in Taiwan, including its corporate and institutional banking (CIB), wealth management, asset management, securities, and insurance divisions.

Based in Taiwan, Boussard will report directly to Paul Yang, CEO of BNP Paribas Asia Pacific. Yang noted that Boussard’s deep understanding of the APAC region and his extensive experience in client relations make him well-suited to lead BNP Paribas’ Taiwan operations and drive the company’s growth ambitions in the region.

Boussard’s most recent role was as deputy head of group asset liability management (ALM) treasury, where he managed global treasury and CIB steering at BNP Paribas in Paris. His career with the bank spans over 30 years, beginning in 1993, during which he has held key leadership roles in ALM treasury and capital markets across New York, Hong Kong, and Paris.

Before joining BNP Paribas, Boussard worked extensively in Shanghai and Hong Kong, focusing on international corporate banking and capital markets.

He succeeds Manon Breuvart, who will return to Paris to take on the role of head of credit for BNP Paribas Wealth Management, where she will report to Vincent Lecomte, CEO of BNP Paribas Wealth Management.
