Hello Grégory, can you introduce yourself and WiziShop?  

Hi, I’m Grégory Beyrouti, CEO and co-founder of WiziShop.

WiziShop is a French ecommerce solution launched in 2008. We offer entrepreneurs a complete and intuitive platform, enabling them to create, manage, and develop their online store.

Our mission is to make ecommerce accessible to all, by simplifying the technical aspects and offering powerful tools to boost sales.

Where did the idea of creating an ecommerce solution come from?  

The idea came from our observation that many entrepreneurs had great ideas but were held back by the technical challenges and high costs associated with creating and managing an online store. We wanted to create a solution that would democratize access to ecommerce, combining ease of use and performance, enabling anyone to start selling online easily and efficiently.

What do you think of technological innovations like AI in the online sales market?

It can also manage inventory in real time, predict sales trends, or offer 24/7 customer support.

The evolution of AI is so rapid that it opens up incredible possibilities that we may not even be able to imagine yet.

We can’t yet predict everything it will be able to do, but it’s likely that it will soon be able to create a complete ecommerce site by simply entering a theme, for example, in the next few years, if not months.

What are the platform’s upcoming developments?  

We’re constantly working to improve our platform.

Upcoming developments include our own native payment solution, WiziShop Payments.

We’re also planning to enhance our templates with a template generator that will enable our e-tailers to customize their ecommerce sites in an infinite number of ways.

We’re working on a complete overhaul of the blog for our e-merchants as well. This new version will offer merchants an optimal user experience. Writing informative content will be much more intuitive! Always with a touch of AI and SEO, of course. The design will also be enhanced to boost visitor loyalty and conversion.

What advice would you give to an e-merchant just starting out?  

My main advice would be to get started quickly and not wait until everything is perfect before you begin. Create an initial version of your online store as quickly as possible.

Then, test the market with what you’ve got. This will enable you to gather concrete feedback from your first customers and adjust your offer accordingly. Use the tools and resources at your disposal, like those we offer on WiziShop, to support you in this initial phase. Don’t overlook the importance of SEO, customer experience, and digital marketing.

Finally, remain flexible and open to learning, as the world of ecommerce is constantly and rapidly evolving.
