Richemont and Cartier Names Louis Fe as CEO Effective 1st September 2024
Following the recent appointment of Nicolas Bos as CEO of the Richemont Group, the luxury conglomerate has announced further leadership changes, naming Louis Ferla as the new CEO of Cartier, effective 1st September 2024. Ferla, formerly with Vacheron Constantin, succeeds Cyrille Vigneron, who has led Cartier for eight years.
Louis Ferla’s career with Richemont began in 2001 at Alfred Dunhill, and he joined Cartier in 2006. He became CEO of Vacheron Constantin in 2017, a brand now ranked as the 8th largest Swiss watch brand with a turnover exceeding CHF 1 billion, according to Morgan Stanley. Richemont has not yet announced who will succeed Ferla as CEO of Vacheron Constantin.
Under Vigneron’s leadership, Cartier has become the second-largest Swiss watch brand, with a 2023 turnover of CHF 3,100 billion and 660,000 units sold, according to Morgan Stanley. Vigneron will retire from his CEO role but will stay on as Chairman of Cartier Culture & Philanthropy to ensure a smooth transition to Ferla.
