Alex Miller to Lead Alimentation Couche-Tard Announces as the New President and CEO
The Board of Directors at Alimentation Couche-Tard has announced the appointment of Alex Miller as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 6, 2024.
The current President and CEO, Brian Hannasch, will retire from his position as Miller transitions from his role as Chief Operating Officer. Hannasch will continue to support the company as a Special Advisor to both Miller and Alain Bouchard, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board.
Bouchard emphasized the significance of this appointment, noting that Couche-Tard has only had two CEOs in its nearly 45-year history. He stated that the company prioritizes having a CEO who comes from within the organization and fully embraces its values, culture, and growth-oriented mindset.
Miller expressed his belief that the company is at the beginning of its journey to becoming the world’s preferred destination for convenience and mobility. He conveyed confidence in the company’s engaged workforce, culture, and long-term strategic plan to continue driving growth and creating lasting value.
